FAITHS IN TUNE in Action:
Interactive Art & Music Workshops feat. ACWAY
Berlin and London | starting 2016
In December 2015, FAITHS IN TUNE Director Anja Fahlenkamp attended the ACWAY International Interfaith Youth Leadership Forum in Rabat, Morocco, where she pledged to deliver community activities that would go even further than the festivals and promote interfaith harmony on a more interactive level, promoting direct cooperation between faith actors and artists in London and Berlin.
"ACWAY" stands for "A Common Word Among the Youth" and is an international initiative to promote interfaith harmony and coexistence through youth action and leadership in a bottom-up rather than top-down approach.
The British Museum is the UK's most visited attraction and a majority of the items on its display can be traced back to various religious backgrounds and sacred practices. The Interfaith Music Festival will encourage visitors to look at the museum's exhibition not just in terms of cultural diversity and archeology, but through the glasses of faith and interfaith traditions. At the same time, the festival's main objective remains, as in previous years, the promotion of interfaith understanding, respect and dialogue by bringing people of all different faith backgrounds together through the universal language of music.
Musicians, artists and coaches wishing to actively participate in the festival can now submit their performance offers through the official form on our website which can be found here. The deadline for submitting performance offers is the 29 February 2016.
Organisations, communities and institutions wishing to host a stall at our interfaith fair can equally register through an official form which can be found here. There is no deadline for stall applications, but spaces will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.
